Still feeling “off” after having a baby, even years later? You’re not alone.
The postpartum experience doesn’t end at 6 weeks. Research from the NIH shows that postpartum depression can last for years after birth (NIH), and pelvic floor symptoms such as leaks, heaviness, and pain can emerge even years down the line (Brown Health).
Yet, the standard care model often gives women one follow-up appointment and then leaves them to figure out the rest. We believe you deserve more.
At Peli Health, we created the Always Postpartum program to give women 1+ years postpartum the guidance, tools, and support they’ve been missing. It’s never too late to improve your health.
Why “Once Postpartum, Always Postpartum”?
Because postpartum isn’t just a single chapter. It’s a lifelong shift in your physiology, hormones, identity, and physical function. Whether you gave birth one year ago or five, symptoms like:
- Leaking with laughing or sneezing
- Pain with intimacy
- Core weakness or disconnection
- Fatigue or pelvic pressure
…are not just “your new normal.” They are signs your body is still healing—and still needs support.
A multidisciplinary approach that blends physical therapy, nervous system regulation, and holistic care has been shown to be more effective than isolated treatments (Mayo Clinic). That’s the foundation of this program.
And it’s not just postpartum women who are left behind.
Recent research reveals a startling statistic: over 80% of nulliparous women (those who’ve never given birth) have never received any education about the pelvic floor (NIH – PMC). This lack of knowledge spans all ages and life stages, despite the fact that most women will experience pelvic floor symptoms during their lifetime. The same research strongly supports pelvic floor exercises (PFE) as a proven way to prevent and treat these issues, reinforcing the need for earlier awareness, education, and access to care.
